Laffalang returns for summer charity nights

The Summer Laffalang will feature Bobby Elliot, a sketch originally written by Ed and Trevor for the 2014 Sunday for Sammy.

Ed has written a further 12 sketches for the charity event, which will be performed at the Westovians Theatre in South Shields, on Friday and Saturday, July 25 and 26,

The profits will be donated to the South Tyneside charity Cancer Connections.

The cast of Bob Stott, Leah Bell, Paul Dunn, Craig Richardson, Viktoria Kay and Bethan Amber Carr-Brown will be joined by compere  Micky Cochrane, the rising star of north east stand-up.

Gareth Hunter will direct the show.

Ed said: “After the success of the Christmas Laffalang at Newcastle’s The Stand, where 250 attended and we raised £1400 for St  Oswald’s Hospice, we wanted to help Cancer Connections with this show.”

He added: “We are already making plans for the Christmas 2014 Laffalang which will also be held at the Westovians Theatre in December.”
